MAE issues travel advisory for France due to national strike of railway conductors

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs Romanian citizens who are in, transiting or intending to travel to the French Republic that a national strike of railway conductors and ticket controllers is expected on January 13, in which context disruptions to train traffic are expected on all lines operated by SNCF Passengers (TGV, Ouigo, iNOUI, TGV Europe and Intercites).

The MAE recommends that Romanian citizens follow updated information available on the Internet pages: https://www.sncf.com/fr, https://www.sncf-connect.com/aide/informations-situation-perturbee.

Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the telephone numbers of the Consulate General of Romania in Paris: +33147052966 and +33147052755.

Also, Romanian citizens who are faced with a difficult, special, emergency situation have the following hotlines available, depending on the consular district of residence, as follows:

* Consulate General of Romania in Paris: +33680713729;

* Consulate General of Romania in Marseille: +33610027164;

* Consulate General of Romania in Lyon: +33643627736;

* Consulate General of Romania in Strasbourg: +33627050022.

The MAE recommends consulting the following websites: paris.mae.ro, cgparis.mae.ro, lyon.mae.ro, marsilia.mae.ro, strasbourg.mae.ro and www.mae.ro and reminds that Romanian citizens traveling abroad have at their disposal the "Travel Informed" application, which offers information and travel advice.
