Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare will go to Brussels on Wednesday to discuss the budget and will voice a deficit of 6.2% of GDP for 2026, that was the decision during the meeting of the governing coalition, political sources told AGERPRES.
At the same time, the coalition leaders agreed that the Government would assume responsibility for the administration package and the economic recovery package simultaneously, as separate bills, during a meeting of Parliament.
According to the cited sources, Prime Minister Bolojan and the other representatives of the PNL, along with those of the USR, "tried to break the commitment regarding the administration package and the economic recovery package".
"PSD and UDMR rejected this idea and kept their point of view that these commitments must take place simultaneously, as was established five months ago," the sources said.
All the more so since "all parties agree in principle with the measures included in the economic recovery package which have a total impact (summarizing the PSD proposals, but also from the other parties) of only 0.12% of GDP," according to the same sources.
