Ministry of Finance borrows 150 million RON from commercial banks, in addition to Monday's tenders

The Ministry of Finance drew 150 million RON from commercial banks on Tuesday, in addition to Monday's tenders, when it borrowed 863 million RON at an interest rate of 6.82% per year, respectively 6.62% per year, through two issues of benchmark state bonds, told Agerpres.

The nominal value of the two additional issues was 75 million RON, each. The banks submitted offers worth 157 million RON, respectively 115 million RON.

The Ministry of Finance has planned, for June 2024, loans from commercial banks in the amount of 6.2 billion RON, to which the amount of 750 million RON can be added through additional sessions of non-competitive bids, related to bond tenders.

The total amount, of 6.95 billion RON, is 1.06 billion RON higher than the one that was programmed in May 2024, of 5.89 billion RON, and will be intended for refinancing the public debt and financing the deficit the state budget.
