The Ministry of Finance attracted, on Friday, 165 million RON from banks, in addition to Thursday's auctions, when it borrowed over 1.922 billion RON, through two issues of state bonds, at interest rates of 6.3% per annum, respectively 6.82% per year, according to data published by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The nominal values of the two additional issues were 90 million RON and 75 million RON, respectively, and the banks submitted offers worth 310 million RON and 365 million RON.

The Ministry of Finance (MF) has planned, in July 2024, loans from commercial banks in the amount of 6 billion RON, to which the amount of 585 million RON can be added through additional sessions of non-competitive offers, related to bond auctions.

The total amount, of 6.585 billion RON, is 365 million RON less than the one that was scheduled in June 2024, of 6.95 billion RON, and will be intended for refinancing the public debt and financing the state budget deficit.
