The National Weather Administration (ANM) has issued a weather report of moderate rain, wind gusts, and frost valid throughout Romania from Thursday, 20:00hrs to Sunday, 18:00hrs.
According to the ANM, there will be rainfall in most of the country. In the south-eastern regions there will be moderate rain and accumulations of 10...20 l/sqm. In the rest of the country, precipitation will be weak, predominantly snow in the mountains and in Moldavia, and mixed in the other regions. Ground ice is also expected.
The wind will pick up speed in the eastern and southern regions to 40...60 km/h.
Cold weather especially in the extra-Carpathian regions. There will be frost on Saturday night in Moldavia, Dobrogea and eastern Transylvania, with lows of between -14 and -10 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, February 1, the frost will persist in most of Moldavia.
Until Wednesday, February 4, the weather will remain particularly cold, frosty especially at night and in the morning, especially in the extra-Carpathian regions.
