The European Parliament headquarters in Brussels hosted on Tuesday the opening of the exhibition "Multicultural Romania", organized by Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) MEP Georgiana Teodorescu (European Conservatives and Reformists Group), a release shows.
President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs, and Training Roxana Manzatu, EP Vice-President Antonella Sberna EP, Permanent Representative of Romania to the EU Iulia Matei, and numerous Romanian and foreign MEPs admired Romania's landscapes as captured through the lens of photographer Sorin Onisor and enjoyed traditional Romanian cuisine.
"I am honored by the presence of so many high-level European figures. It shows that AUR MEPs are respected in Brussels," said Georgiana Teodorescu. "My mission to promote Romania will continue with the same determination - through events that highlight our tradition and authenticity, and through the legislative initiatives I bring to the European Parliament," she went on to say.
The photographs, which highlight the beauty of the Romanian village, the Carpathians, the Danube and its unique Delta, can be admired all week (November 17 - 21) in the exhibition space of the European Parliament.
"The photographs we have chosen take the viewer on a profound journey into our past, into all the key moments and places that have built modern Romania. Our history is a testament to the common ideal of being united in diversity," explained MEP Teodorescu.
According to her, the exhibition tells the story of a Romania whose "undeniable beauty shines through the vivid colors of its unmistakable landscapes, traditional attire, and the Romanian peasants who radiate simplicity and authenticity."
"I believe it's vital to use every opportunity to show Europeans and the world how rich our heritage is, how wonderful Romania is. I hope these images inspire many to visit our country and discover Romania's wonders for themselves, because there is so much to see," concluded Georgiana Teodorescu.
