The Minister of Internal Affairs, Catalin Predoiu, sent a message on National Flag Day, stating that it unites us across generations and reminds us that we are one people, with a common destiny.
"Today, on National Flag Day, we pay tribute to one of the most powerful symbols of our national identity: the Romanian tricolor. Blue, yellow and red - colors that carry within them the history, aspirations and values ??that define us as a people. The flag unites us across generations and reminds us that we are one people, with a common destiny. Since the Union, going through moments of glory and trial, the National Flag has been our witness and symbol. It has proudly flown on the battlefields, watched over the country and was present at the most important moments of our history," Predoiu said.
According to him, the values that the Flag represents are unity, freedom, dignity.
''Today, more than ever, we must remember the importance of the values that the Flag represents: unity, freedom, dignity. Let us be proud of our cultural heritage, respect history and build a better future for future generations. Let us respect and proudly wear this symbol wherever we are. Happy birthday, Romania!'' the minister said.
