Principal dancers of the National Opera of Bucharest will perform alongside international artists on 5 March at the Palace Hall, as part of the Bucharest International Ballet Gala - Frumos Infinit, marking 150 years since the birth of sculptor Constantin Brancusi.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Monday, audiences will have the opportunity to see Amyra Badro, Ada Gonzalez, Robert Enache and Jorge Barani, leading artists of the National Opera of Bucharest, recognised for their technical excellence, expressive strength and strong stage presence.
The gala will also feature Daniil Simkin, an independent artist and former principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre; Maria Kochetkova, an independent artist and former principal dancer of the San Francisco Ballet, performing in Romania for the first time; Paul Marque and Bleuenn Battistoni, etoiles of the Paris Opera Ballet; Evgenia Obraztsova and Semyon Chudin, principal dancers of the Bolshoi Theatre; Chinara Alizade, principal dancer of the Polish National Ballet; and Nicolai Nazarchevici, principal dancer of the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Actor Marius Bodochi will give voice to the concepts, emotions and philosophy inspired by Constantin Brancusi's work.
According to the organisers, the event at Palace Hall brings together dance and theatrical performance in a stage composition dedicated to essence, flight and verticality, defining themes of Brancusi's artistic creation.
