Austrian energy group OMV reported on Wednesday a net profit of 1.94 billion euros for 2025, 7% down from 2024, as its turnover also dropped 7% to 24.31 billion euros, according to a statement of the company that is OMV Petrom's majority shareholder.

"OMV achieved solid performance in the 2025 financial year despite the very challenging market environment, proving yet again the robustness of our integrated business model. The Neptun Deep gas development project, being operated as planned by OMV Petrom in Romania, will make a significant contribution to the security of the energy supply in Europe. This will enable OMV to establish the strongest gas portfolio in the company's history," said OMV CEO Alfred Stern.

The OMV Board will propose to the Supervisory Board and the Annual General Meeting a total dividend of 4.40 euros per share, consisting of a regular dividend of 3.15 euros and an additional dividend of 1.25 euros per share.

For 2026, OMV's management forecasts capital expenditures of around 3.2 billion euros and a hydrocarbon production of just under 300,000 barrels per day. The utilization rate of the group's European refineries is also expected to reach 90%.

According to data published by the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the Austrian group OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds 51.156% of the OMV Petrom stake, and the Romanian state, through the Ministry of Energy - 20.698%.
