The net assets of the 250 open-end and closed-end funds, local and foreign, increased in November by 3.2%, to the level of 59.7 billion lei (11.7 billion euros), and for the entire year 2025 the increase is 23.5%, according to data transmitted by the Association of Fund Administrators (AAF).
The net inflows of November totaled 769 million lei (151.3 million euros), agerpres reports.
The 5 best-performing funds in the last 12 months recorded net annual returns between 45.7% and 49.2%; over a 36-month horizon, the 5 best-performing funds had returns between 106% and 116.7%, obtained over the last 3 years (compared to November 2022).
The net assets of the 96 local open-end funds increased by 3.1% in November, to 34.6 billion lei (6.8 billion euros), and in 2025 they increased by 30%.
Local open-end funds recorded net inflows of 704.8 million lei (138.6 million euros) in November, targeting equity funds (+390.2 million lei), diversified funds (+156.7 million lei), bonds and fixed-income instruments (+112.4 million lei) and those grouped under the "other funds" category (+50.2 million lei), while absolute return funds (-4.7 million lei) had net outflows.
The net assets expressed in lei of the 118 foreign open-end funds distributed in Romania increased in November by 1.2%, up to 2.6 billion lei (0.51 billion euros), and in 2025 they increased by 17.7%.
Foreign open-end funds distributed in Romania, having a share of 7% in the total assets of open-end investment funds, recorded net inflows of 61.8 million lei (12.2 million euros) in November.
The net assets of the 36 alternative investment funds increased by 3.8% in November, up to 22.5 billion lei (4.4 billion euros) and in 2025 they increased by 15.2%. Local alternative investment funds had net inflows of 2.8 million lei (0.55 million euros) in the reported month.
