Total manufacturers' new orders in Romania (domestic and foreign markets combined) recorded a 16.8pct increase in nominal terms in the first 11 months of 2018, compared to 1 January - 30 November 2017, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) reports on Monday.
According to the INS, in November 2018, the total new manufacturing orders (domestic and foreign market combined), in nominal terms, decreased by 9.1pct compared to the previous month and increased compared to the corresponding month of the previous year by 15.1pct.
According to the release, the new manufacturing orders in November 2018, as compared to the previous month, went down by 9.1pct as a result of the decreases in the capital goods industry (-13.1pct), the durable consumer goods industry (-4.8pct) and in the intermediate goods industry (-3.3%). The current use goods industry increased by 1.7pct.

Also, the new orders in the manufacturing industry, between 1 January and 30 November 2018, compared to 1 January to 30 November 2017, rose by 16.8pct as a result of increases in the capital goods industry (+20.0pct), the intermediate goods industry (+14.4pct), the durable goods industry (+9.6pct) and the consumer goods industry (+5.5pct).
