The Romanian pair Monica Niculescu/Gabriela Ruse advanced on Thursday to the doubles' semifinals of the 2024 Open In Arte Angers Loire, with prize money amounting to 100,000 euros, after defeating the pair Oksana Kalashnikova (Georgia)/Lara Salden (Belgium), 7-5, 6-4.
The top seeds won after one hour and 26 minutes.
Niculescu and Ruse secured a 2,260 EUR check and 49 WTA doubles points.
In the penultimate round, the Romanians will face the winners of Quinn Gleason (USA)/Kimberley Zimmermann (Belgium) - Elsa Jacquemot/Selena Janicijevic (France).
