President Nicusor Dan stated on Wednesday that, in his opinion, the blame for the situation in Prahova County lies with the representatives of Apel Romane.
Moreover, the head of state said that discussions on this topic currently have an electoral slant.
"First of all, let's not forget that we are in the last week of the electoral campaign, so let's read these statements in this light. Secondly, obviously, following such a situation, we must establish the culprits. In my opinion, but of course there are control authorities that will do this, the blame lies with Apele Române," the president pointed out, after participating in an event with ambassadors of EU states.
He also said that he had discussed this situation more often with the Minister of Energy.
"On the energy side, at the moment, things are covered. Transelectrica is filling in. It was organized from imports and from what we produce," explained Nicusor Dan.
Tens of thousands of people from 13 localities in Prahova and Dambovita counties have been left without drinking water since Friday following works at the Paltinu reservoir.
