General Mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, believes that Elena Lasconi is the only "sensible" option in the second round of the presidential election, informs Agerpres.
According to him, Calin Georgescu is "a poor impostor", having behind him Russia and some "clever guys", who paid for his campaign.
"The Romanian political class deserves a lesson. Except that the experiment we have been living for two weeks risks to take us out of the European Union and NATO and to lead us into the clutches of Russia and some clever guys. Because this is not about Calin Georgescu. He is a poor impostor, he falsified his biography. Today he says one thing, tomorrow he says another. But behind him is Russia and behind him there are some smart guys, those who paid for the campaign that we saw. Under the circumstances, the only sane choice is Elena Lasconi. And I am convinced that there are enough rational people in Romania to take this country in the right direction," said Nicusor Dan, in a video message posted on Facebook on Thursday.
