The Ombudsman Wednesday announced it has taken ex-officio action in the case of two children physically aggressed by staff of the Local Police with the Bucharest District 3.
"The ex-officio action aims at a possible violation of Art. 22 and Art. 49 of Romania's Constitution regarding the right to life and to the psychological and physical integrity and the protection of children and young," a release by the Ombudsman sent to AGERPRES informs.
According to the same source, the Ombudsman took ex-officio action following the reports released by the media on 12 September on some images with a child beaten by the District 3 local police and hand cuffed to a trash bin, on reason that he was fishing in the Titan/IOR park. The images show that the minor's friend who managed to tape the aggression, was kicked in his turn by the local police.
