Magic shows, photographic exhibitions and musical moments are part of this weekend's program of the "Open Streets - Bucharest, Urban Promenade" project, which will include, in addition to Calea Victoriei, Piaţa Amzei and Christian Tell streets, according to the interim mayor of the capital, Stelian Bujduveanu.
"Valuable projects deserve support and, where possible, expansion. 'Open Streets' is one of them, and starting this weekend the pedestrian route will include two more streets: Piaţa Amzei and Christian Tell. The new thoroughfares will become pedestrian-friendly spaces until October, offering residents and visitors more space to walk, relax and interact - right in the heart of the city. The expansion of the Open Streets project completes the two urban revitalization initiatives and the transformation of Piata Amzei into a cultural hub and exhibition space, an initiative coordinated by the mayor of Sector 1, George Cristian Tuta, in partnership with Art Safari Bucharest," Stelian Bujduveanu wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
He stated that this weekend's program of the "Open Streets" project includes interactive magic shows held by Magitot, in front of the National Museum of Art of Romania, permanent exhibitions and outdoor photographic retrospectives offered by the Bucharest Municipality Museum, a painting workshop in public space, in the Kretzulescu Park area, street interventions presented by the Bucharest Metropolitan Circus and live musical moments, signed by the "Constantin Tănase" Revue Theater.
Stelian Bujduveanu added that for complete details about the program, those interested should visit www.arcub.ro.
