National leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Ludovic Orban says full responsibility for Dan Vilceanu's being picked for finance minister belongs to Prime Minister Florin Citu and his supporters.
Orban justified his vote against the appointment of Vilceanu at a meeting of the party's National Political Bureau (BPN) by the fact that he could not go through the whole analysis and vetting procedure.
"By my vote as the national chair of PNL, I voiced extremely serious reservations about this candidacy. Prime Minister Florin Citu in all his public appearances said that he supports competence, integrity. From my point of view, there is risk involved in the appointment, which is why I voted against the appointment. I also voted against so that the public would know very clearly that the full responsibility for this appointment belongs to Prime Minister Citu and to those who convened BPN, who are supporters of Mr Citu," Orban said on Wednesday after the BPN meeting, Agerpres informs.
