Over 11,600 people employed in first nine months through Capital employment agency

Over 11,600 people were employed in the first nine months of this year through the Bucharest Municipal Agency for Employment (AMOFM), with women accounting for more than half of these, according to data AMOFM published on Tuesday.

'As a result of the implementation of the National Employment Programme, 11,660 people were employed through AMOFM Bucharest between 01.01-30.09.2025, of whom 5,875 were women. Of the total number of people employed during this period, 4,309 were over the age of 45 (including 1,290 over 55), 4,372 were aged between 35 and 45, 2,510 were aged between 30 and 35, 241 were aged between 25 and 30 (of whom 115 were NEET youth), and 228 were under 25 (of whom 136 were NEET youth),' the institution infomred in a press release sent to AGERPRES.

The education level of those for whom jobs were found shows that the majority had completed secondary school - 4,506 individuals, followed by vocational training - 2,390 individuals, and 3,136 had higher education qualifications.

Of the total number of people employed through AMOFM Bucharest during the period 1 January - 30 September 2025, 3,506 (30.07%) were categorised as having low employability.

'In order to integrate into the labour market, jobseekers registered in the database of the employment agency in their area of residence or domicile benefit from personalised packages of active measures, as provided by Law no. 76/2002 on the unemployment insurance system and the stimulation of employment, as subsequently amended and supplemented,' the release also reads.

During the same period, 23,023 people received assistance for registration as jobseekers, in order to be eligible for social protection through unemployment benefits or inclusion in active labour market measures.
