Over 137,100 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and approximately 37,500 means of transport completed the border crossing formalities, both on their way in and on their way out, in the last 24 hours.
According to a press release from the IGPF (General Inspectorate of the Border Police) sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, there were 53,453 people entering Romania, through land border points, but also through air and sea (arrivals from non-Schengen states). At the same time, 14,215 means of transport entered the country.
In the last 24 hours, in the areas of competence - the crossing points and at the "green border" - the border police found 85 illegal acts (15 crimes and 70 misdemeanors).
Fines totaling 69,920 RON were imposed and goods worth approximately 15,730 RON were seized for confiscation, which were stopped from being sold.
Also, 17 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions set forth by law were not allowed to enter the country and six Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
