Over 200 travel agencies and tour operators will be displaying in the autumn edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair (TTR), to be held at the Romexpo exhibition centre in Bucharest, November 16-19.
The internationalisation of the TTR is 15 percent, with 13 countries promoting attractive tourist areas and destinations, namely Austria, Bulgaria, Cuba, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine.
The Romanian Tourism Fair provides attractive Christmas and New Year holiday offerings, city breaks and early booking for holidays and trips for the spring-summer of 2018. The tour operators offer thousands of packages during the four days of the fair, targeting cultural, rural and business tourism, health tourism, exotic destinations, cruises and adventure tourism.
TTR visitors will find affordable, budget-friendly travel packages, discounts, useful customisable gadgets and accessories that suit the type and purpose of travel, offerings and events to promote various Romanian destinations in the highlands and on the Black Sea coast.
Also displaying at TTR are cultural and tourist centres designed to promote the Romanian countryside rich in tourist attractions and revitalise local customs and crafts for Romanian and foreign holidaymakers alike. Many other tourist areas in Romania are promoted at the fair by county and local councils - Mures County, Hunedoara County, Piatra-Neamt County, Bacau County (Slanic Moldova, Targu Ocna, Moinesti), and the town of Techirghiol, which main attraction is the health care and recuperation facility.
Cuba, Palestine and Bulgaria come with special offerings for tourists and travellers, both of which are official participants in the event.
TTR will offer both well-known destinations such as Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, and the UK, as well as exotic ones: Mauritius, Maldives, the Caribbean, Malta, the Canary Islands, Madagascar, Reunion, Singapore and Seychelles.
Adventure tourism is also there at the fair, with offerings designed for groups of 6 to 10 people, to unknown or inaccessible tourist destinations.
The Romanian Tourism Fair is the time when holiday packages are offered at very advantageous prices compared with other periods of the year, both in terms of transport and accommodation. Transport companies and agencies come with countless bonuses, fidelity cards and web applications.
Among the offerings of the transport companies are those of the CFR Calatori national railway carrier which, during the TTR, comes with a 45-percent discount on train tickets, valid until December 15, 2017 (tickets may be valid until January 14, 2018). CFR brings in the TrenPlus GOLD Card (250 lei), to be released to the market on November 16, 2017. The card can be used to purchase train tickets for one year at a 40-percent discount.
TAROM Tours comes along with discounts on domestic and foreign flights, vouchers for future passengers, as well as tourist packages, including for Christmas markets in major European cities.
