AGERPRES special correspondent Adrian Tone reports: Romanian gymnast Sabrina Maneca-Voinea said that she feels she was wronged by the score she received for her routine in Monday's Olympic floor final, because she knew she deserved a higher rating.

"I don't know what happened with the appeal, the American filed an inquiry too and she was granted a score increase. And I did my routine to my very best, I didn't step out of bounds. I don't know why they didn't change my score. They didn't tell me anything about deducting a penalty for this or that. I know very well how I performed my floor routine, I know perfectly well that I did not misstep out of bounds, I know that I did quite well with the acrobatic lines and the artistic part was also quite okay...,'' said the Romanian gymnast .

Ana Maria Barbosu finished fourth in the floor event on Monday, in the artistic gymnastics competition of the Paris Olympic Games, while her fellow national Sabrina Maneca-Voinea came in fifth.

Barbosu appeared to be in the bronze medal position for a few tens of seconds, but American Jordan Chiles then made a successful appeal and her score was increased from 13.666 to 13.766, placing her in third position.

Sabrina Maneca-Voinea also appealed her 13.700 score, but the judges upheld the initial decision.

Brazilian Rebeca Andrade took home the gold medal with a score of 14.166, while American Simone Biles landed the silver with 14.133 points.
