The Romanian constructor UMB is installing the last safety elements on the section between Focşani and Adjud (A7), before it is opened to traffic, so that before Christmas we will have another 50 kilometers of motorway, announced on Friday the general director of the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR), Cristian Pistol.

"Last check on the A7 before the opening of the section between Focsani and Adjud. I am on the construction site today to make sure that everything is ready to open to traffic in the best conditions. We are one step away from the long-awaited moment: before Christmas we will have another 50 km of motorway! The Romanian constructor (UMB) is now installing the last safety elements (expansion joints and parapet strips). The mobilization is exemplary until the last moment", a post by Cristian Pistol shows on his Facebook page.

With the opening of this new sector, 2025 ends with 195 km put into circulation on the Moldovan Highway (out of the 319 km of the A7), between Ploiesti and Pascani.

"Moldova now has a real highway and concrete economic prospects," the head of CNAIR said.
