Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the nomination for the Education portfolio will be made in the next period, namely in a few weeks, mentioning that it will be a person endorsed by the National Liberal Party (PNL).
He responded in that way when asked when he would nominate a new Minister of Education.
"In the coming period will will make a nomination. It is a matter of weeks. It will come from the National Liberal Party. It will be endorsed by the PNL," PM Bolojan said on Monday evening at Digi 24 private television station.
When asked if he has a name in mind, he mentioned that "there are several colleagues under discussion."
In this context he dismissed the hypothesis that there are no candidates willing to take up the office.
"It is not the right perception, but think about it, last year was a difficult moment for Mr David, who during his term had to also manage, practically, this increase in the teaching workload, which was certainly not popular among teaching staff. And then, of course, you think that you have a career built over many years and you can damage it by taking up a certain position. Please think of me, of the situation I am in, I have worked for 20 years in administration, I was someone who achieved something and in six months you can wipe it all away, but our country sometimes deserves that, and even the education area deserves it," PM Bolojan said.
