Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan set out the responsibilities of Vice Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu who will endorse the proposals drafted by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE) and the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).
The decision was published on Wednesday in the Official Journal of Romania.
"With effect from the date of entry into force of this decision, in order to ensure the fulfillment of the major priorities in the Government Programme, Oana Clara Gheorghiu, Vice Prime Minister, coordinates the drafting process and endorses draft normative acts prepared in the area of state reform and the streamlining of public institutions' activities," the decision signed by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan shows.
According to the document, Vice Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu endorses draft normative acts with budgetary impact drawn up by the Ministry of Investments and European Projects and the Ministry of Education and Research.
Oana Gheorghiu ensures the prime minister is kept permanently informed about the implementation of the provisions set out in this decision, the document reveals.
Vice Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu took the oath of office on 30 October before President Nicusor Dan, in a ceremony organized at the Cotroceni Palace. She filled the office left vacant in the Bolojan Government after Dragos Anastasiu resigned in August.
