Romania will analyze the requests of the Kyiv Executive regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca said on Wednesday.

"We had a decision to transfer protective equipment and ammunition. We will continue to look at the requests that the Ukrainian government will make and, based on that, we will make a decision," the PM told a press conference at the Victoria Palace, Agerpres.ro informs.

The Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Marcel Ciolacu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Aurescu, met on Tuesday, in Kyiv, with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"The most important part of the discussions was related to the economic and humanitarian steps that Romania can take in respect to Ukraine. At the moment, the Ukrainian economy is very affected. The export of grains, of agri-food products meant an important contribution to Ukraine's GDP," Ciuca said.

According to the head of Executive, "the main concern is the economic one, beyond the efforts of the Ukrainian people, to be able to cope with the invasion of the Russian army."

The head of the Government in Bucharest stated that Romania is willing to get involved in the process of rebuilding Ukraine and open to hosting companies that can no longer operate in Ukraine.

"President Zelenskyy underscored that the Romanian minority in Ukraine will enjoy the same rights, "in the mirror," as the Ukrainian minority in Romania enjoys," Nicolae Ciuca added.
