"World Teachers' Day is a good opportunity to show our appreciation to those who are meant to educate and shape characters, to be mentors of many generations. Being a teacher is a vocation that involves a great responsibility towards children and young people whose future they shape, both through the knowledge they share and the model of life that they offer. Each of us made teachers into role models in the classroom, a support in accomplishing our personality whom we dearly and gratefully remember," Dancila said, according to a press statement released by the government.
"Through every graduated education cycle, through internship and volunteer programmes, exchange of experience at international level, the success of everyone, as well as of the society as a whole, is ensured," Dancila said.
At the same time, the prime minister said that a quality education system strengthens the feeling of communion.
"A quality education system strengthens the sense of communion and cultivates solidarity, a fundamental value for a modern state, attached to the common European values, the more current in the year of the Centennial of Romania's Greater Union. Education is the foundation of a developed and strong country with a well-defined voice abroad, such as Romania is. Dear teachers, thank you for your contribution to a better, more prosperous and internationally recognized Romania!," added Dancila.
