Prime Minister Viorica Dancila will pay a working visit to Brussels on Wednesday and Thursday, aimed at presenting the priorities of Romania's Presidency at the Council of the European Union within the plenary session of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), according to Agerpres.
Another important element of the visit will be the bilateral meeting which Dancila will have with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at thee NATO headquarters in Brussels, aimed at reviewing the main topics on the Alliance agenda, with a focus on interest themes for Romania and its contributions to implementing the allied policies and decisions, the Government informs in a release sent to AGERPRES.
At the same time, the visit includes PM Dancila's participation in the official ceremony devoted to the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, organised by the European Jewish Congress, under the patronage of European Parliament President Antonio Tajani, as well as the meeting of the Romanian PM with the chair of the EESC, Luca Jahier, and the participation in the European Socialists' meeting.
PM Dancila will also participate alongside European high officials and members of the Government in Bucharest in the opening of the photo exhibition and the concert devoted to the debut of Romania's Presidency at the EU Council.
The governmental delegation is made up of Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu, Defence Minister Beniamin-Gabriel Les, Economy Minister Niculae Badalau, Minister-delegate for European Affairs George Ciamba, interim Transport Minister Rovana Plumb, Culture and National Identity Minister Valer-Daniel Breaz.
