The reform plan has changed of such a manner so that no salary will shrink in the end, while the pensions will increase, Prime Minister Mihai Tudose on Wednesday told the CNSRL Fratia National Congress.

"I came here because I wanted to, not because I was forced, and because I am grateful for the extraordinary help that I received from your leaders when I first drew and then completed this reform plan. (...) And now those discussions are finally materialized (...) but with certain changes meant to prevent any net salary from shrinking, while some of the salaries will in fact grow as of January 1 or March 1, as well as the pensions, and this one is a fact," said Tudose.

The head of the Executive specified that he wanted to find a modality to work together with the confederation, based on an agreement between the Government and CNSRL Fratia.

"We established, while having your approval, to continue to find modalities to work together (...), based on a system and based on an agreement between the Government and you confederation, where to recognize your status of a permanent partner, so that this agreement will not be just something that we did just for the sake of doing it (...) something that we just posted somewhere, but also something useful, so that we try with your help not to deviate from what we had in mind to do when we came to power' to do better for the people," said Tudose.

The head of the Government also referred to the economic growth of 8.8 per cent from the last quarter of this year, compared with the third quarter of last year, and the annual economic growth of 5 per cent.

Prime Minister Tudose was accompanied at the CNSRL Fratia National Congress by Deputy Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
