Premier Viorica Dancila announced on Monday evening, at the Government's first meeting that she will be "extremely demanding" with regard to fulfilling the governing programme.
"We performed the handing over-reception procedures with Mr. Minister Mihai Fifor and I want to congratulate him for ensuring the interim period. This is the first meeting of the government team and I would like to congratulate you all for the nod of approval granted by the parliamentary committees and I also want to congratulate you for Parliament's vote. I believe the majority that voted for us today and placed hope in us is expecting responsibility on our behalf as regards the fulfillment of the governing programme. I assure you of my full support in coordinating the activities between ministries. At the same time, I will be very demanding as far as the fulfillment of the programme's measures are concerned," Viorica Dancila stated, at the first meeting with the ministers of her Cabinet, held at the Government's seat.
At the same time, the new head of the Gov't asked the members of her Cabinet to submit to her monthly reports on the stage of the governing programme implementation for each ministry individually.
"I would like you to submit a report every month on the stage of the governing programme implementation for each ministry individually. I will support you the best way I can but, at the same time, I also expect just as much rigour on your side," Dancila said.
Moreover, she requested the members of her Cabinet prepare the first gov't meeting, due to take place on Wednesday.
"Starting today, we are actually starting our activity and I would like you to earnestly prepare the first gov't meeting, due to take place in two days' time, that is on Wednesday this week. Tomorrow, at first light, each of you should finalise the handing over-reception procedures for the ministry you are in charge of," Dancila further affirmed.
