The chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Florin Citu, stated that a budget draft for next year will be presented to the coalition on Monday.
"PNL is in Parliament. We will be here until we have to vote this budget, but it must come. We have not yet seen this budget. We haven't seen a budget draft. When we have a draft presented by the Ministry of Finance, then we can discuss on the budget. Now I don't know why we're rushing, there are things that must be done well and then we await for the budget, when it comes, we will do it. (...) The budget - on Monday. We don't have a budget draft to be presented today. We may discuss some ordinances or things like that. That's how it remained two days ago when we discussed, it was left for Monday for a budget draft to be presented," said Citu, on Wednesday, in the Senate. He said that the PNL "will oppose nothing" that keeps the forecast deficit.
Asked when he estimates the PNL and the Social Democratic Party (PSD) will get along on the subjects discussed in the coalition, Citu answered: "when both parties feel they have the optimum solution."
"We are negotiating. We don't have a time pressure anymore. The government is working. We are preparing for the budget, the rest we shall do, they're political negotiations," Citu also said.
