The skiing season has opened in the mountain resort of Poiana Brasov, with skiing available in the upper part of the Postavaru Massif and on the beginner slopes, the Brasov City Hall announced on Friday.
"We have opened the ski season in Poiana Brasov! Skiing is available in the upper area of the Lupului and Drumul Rosu slopes, with exit towards the Ruia chairlift station (6-seat chairlift), as well as on the Kanzel and Doamnei slopes, with exit to Drumul Rosu, then towards the Ruia chairlift. In the lower part, skiing is possible on the beginner slopes Bradul and Stadion," the City Hall said, agerpres reports.
The following cable transport facilities are also operating: Telegondola, Capra Neagra Cable Car, Ruia Chairlift, Stadion and Bradul T-bar lifts.
Deputy mayor Dan Ghita announced three days ago that tourists and Brasov residents who want to reach Poiana can use public transport, with all three lines - one from the railway station, another from the historic center and a third from Poiana Mica - running with public buses.
"If you want to fully enjoy skiing completely stress-free, use the public transport lines with great, great confidence - line 60 from the parking lot in Poiana Mica to the telegondola, line 20 from Livada Postei to the main parking lot in Poiana Brasov, and line 100 from the railways station to Poiana Brasov," Deputy Mayor Dan Ghita said.
