The polling stations in Romania closed on Sunday evening at 21:00.
According to the legislation in force, voting can be extended until 23:59 for voters at the polling station at 21:00, as well as those in line outside of it.
In Romania, turnout in the second round of the presidential elections stood at 49.87% of the electors registered on the electoral lists.
