President Nicusor Dan on Saturday stated that Romania has a future in a foreseeable time, immediately after the correction period passes.

"I want to convey to you my certainty that Romania has a future not in 20-30 years, but in two-three years, as soon as we pass this correction period. Romania has a dynamic, competitive private sector, Romania has the chance to join the OECD and thus attract much more foreign investments at the end of next year, so Romania also has a future in a foreseeable time," said Nicusor Dan at the Extraordinary Congress of the PNL (National Liberal Party) held at the Palace of Parliament, agerpres reports.

He thanked the Liberals for "keeping the right direction for Romania and taking difficult decisions in difficult times," although he said that in 35 years the party has also made mistakes.

"It is very important that the PNL is part of the government. We are all obliged to repair in the coming years all the things that have been wrongly placed in society, because otherwise the Romanians in 2028 will not forgive us and I am very optimistic that we will manage to do these things together," said president Nicusor Dan.

He also sent a message to the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the participation of Igor Grosu - the president of the Parliament in Chisinau, at the event, wishing success to the pro-Western forces in the elections that will take place there in September.
