President Nicusor Dan discussed on Monday at the Cotroceni Palace with Luxembourg's Parliament President Claude Wiseler the development of bilateral cooperation, as well as ways to counter disinformation and cyberattacks.
"It was a pleasure to receive today the visit of the President of the Parliament of Luxembourg, Claude Wiseler. We have discussed the very close and constructive relations between our countries, based on our special friendship, historical ties, and European partnership. I encouraged parliamentary dialogue as a very important channel in the development of our cooperation," President Nicusor Dan wrote on X.
The head of state also highlighted Luxembourg's military presence in the NATO battle-group at Cincu.
"We have a very active defence dialogue and I value Luxembourg's military presence in the NATO battle-group in Cincu, which has the important mission to strengthen Allied deterrence and defence on the Eastern Flank. We have also discussed ways to better coordinate for countering disinformation and cyber-attacks, which pose an important challenge to the resilience of our democratic institutions," Nicusor Dan mentioned.
