Independent presidential candidate Nicusor Dan appears to lead the vote in the runoff held on Sunday with 54.9% of the votes, while his contender George Simion from the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) is credited with 45.1%, according to the exit poll conducted by the AVANGARDE Socio-Behavioral Studies Group.
According to the exit poll conducted by the Center for Urban and Regional Sociology - CURS, Nicusor Dan garnered 54.1% of the votes, and George Simion - 45.9%.
The data is valid for 20:00 p.m. and only for polling stations in Romania, as it does not include the polling stations abroad.
