As many as 3,468,121 Romanian citizens have voted in the second round of the presidential elections by 11:00 am on Sunday, representing 19.28% of the total number of voters on the electoral lists, according to data provided in real time by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
As many as 2,351,678 people voted in the urban areas, and 1,116,443 in the rural areas, agerpres reports.
Also, 12,941 voters used the mobile ballot box.
Of the 3,468,121 Romanian citizens who voted by 11:00 am, Romania time, 2,640,697 cast their vote in the country, namely 14.68%, and 827,424 - abroad, respectively 824,285 on additional lists and 3,139 by mail. Voting in the diaspora started on Friday (7:00 am, Romania time) and ends Sunday (9:00 pm, Romania time).

In the first round of the presidential elections, the turnout was 14.58% on Sunday, May 4, at 11:00 am.
