Social Democratic Party (PSD) lawmakers will not vote for the motion of no confidence, party leader Sorin Grindeanu announced on Tuesday.
According to Grindeanu, if the PSD decides to leave the government, it will be a deliberate decision, and the party will not support the motion of no confidence submitted to Parliament, which is scheduled for debate on 15 December.
"Obviously, we will not vote for this motion of no confidence because we are partners in this coalition. It is out of the question. If, following a vote by my colleagues, we decide to leave the government, the coalition, we will do so deliberately. (...) We are not voting for something like this," Grindeanu said at the end of a PSD leadership meeting.
