The Social Democratic Party(PSD)'s First Vice-President Sorin Grindeanu said that the "loser's gang" wants to "confiscate" the result of Sunday's vote, and Prime Minister Ludovic Orban has forgotten what he said a week ago, namely that the party that wins the elections will give the prime minister.
"The Romanians yesterday gave an impeachment vote to President Iohannis and his government of incompetents. An impeachment vote for the way they defied a whole country, for the disastrous way in which they managed the pandemic and the economy. Today we're seeing the loser's gang want to confiscate the result of yesterday's vote. Just one day later, Orban has already forgotten what he said a week ago that the party that will win the elections will give the prime minister," Grindeanu said Monday in a press conference at the PSD headquarters.
He added that if Iohannis "continues to stubbornly keep those who destroyed Romania in power", the result will be only "another CDR [Democratic Convention of Romania, ed. n.], a new convention of disaster and recession, and the costs will be immense and will be paid by Romanians".
