The Social Democratic Party (PSD) is currently carrying out a consulting procedure with its members on whether to remain in the Government, PSD Vice President Olguta Vasilescu said on Monday, mentioning that it seems that, every day, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan "gives them reasons" to understand that they cannot work as a team.
"We are in a process of consulting party members on whether we should remain in the Governmentor not and it seems that every day Mr Bolojan gives us reasons to understand that we cannot work as a team. And, I consider a form of sabotage what is happening in Craiova, because until now nothing like this has happened that any Energy Minister, whether it was Mr Burduja, supported this company, which belongs to the Government, the fact that funds were found for other programmes but not for Craiova, I'm starting to take it personally. I don't think there will be any need to submit a motion of censure, I believe we will simply withdraw from the Government, and in no case, if anyone expects it, will we endorse a right-wing Government from Parliament while in the Opposition," Vasilescu said on Antena 3 CNN private television station when asked under what circumstances the PSD could remove Ilie Bolojan from the Prime Minister office, agerpres reports.
She mentioned that, in the event in which the PSD leaves the Government, the Bolojan Cabinet will fall, the political configuration will change and the new Executive will have to go through Parliament again.
"We will see at the appropriate time. For now, we are not considering any option, because when we leave the Government, we will then decide on the strategy. Let us see what our party colleagues, who are being consulted, have to say. I would not want to give any direction before all our colleagues have been consulted," the PSD vice president conveyed.
