The General Inspectorate of the Border Police informs that on Wednesday, 116,796 people entered Romania through the border points, of which 13,164 were Ukrainian citizens.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, approximately 250,400 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and more than 65,600 means of transport passed through the border points throughout the country (both inbound and outbound), agerpres reports.
Starting from February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 5,940,218 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.
In the areas of competence - the crossing points and the "green border" - the border police detected 54 illegal acts (38 crimes and 16 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the value of the contravention fines applied amounts to approximately 7,600 RON.
Goods were seized for confiscation in the amount of approximately 6,353,800 RON.
Also on Wednesday, 31 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country and 16 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
