The most recent issue of government bonds - Fidelis IV, from 2024, held between August 8-20, recorded a record value of subscriptions, over 3.23 billion RON, surpassing the previous record set in April, of over 3.197 billions of RON, informs the Ministry of Finance, in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday.

According to the quoted source, the last edition is notable also due to the important results generated by the donors-investors, who joined the campaign "Romania has the blood of a rocker, now also of an investor", carried out by the Ministry of Finance in partnership with "Morning Glory with Razvan Exarhu " and Rock FM. Over 202 million RON were invested by 1,608 Romanians who donated blood starting in March of this year. They benefited from an interest rate of 6.80%, 1% higher than the one offered for classic issues with a maturity of 1 year.

"For the second time this year, record sums were invested for the issues of the Fidelis Program. The over 230,000 subscriptions in Fidelis government bonds so far fit perfectly into the dynamics of investments by individuals on the capital market and managed to attract important sources of financing for the Romanian state. The instruments offered within this program are constantly improved in order to adapt to the requirements of the investors. Regarding the social component, we are proud of the more than 11,000 donors-investors who have subscribed more than 1.4 billion RON. As a novelty, this edition, apart from the instrument dedicated to donors, brought the maturity of 5 years, for those who follow long-term investments, with minimal risk and competitive interest," said Marcel Bolos, the Minister of Finance, quoted in the press release.

In the 4 editions launched this year, investors placed over 10.4 billion RON through over 67,000 subscriptions, and the "heroes" of the 4 editions from 2024 are the over 6,000 donor-investors, who invested over 877 million RON, according to the Ministry.
