Record temperatures in mid-February with 15 degrees over normal in Southern Romania

The middle of February will come with high temperatures countrywide, yet in particular in the South and in Bucharest will be warmer by 15 degrees Celsius than the normal limits, with daily temperature record on 15 and 16 February, on Sunday told AGERPRES the meteorologist Maria Tomescu with the National Meteorology Administration (ANM). 

"On Monday, we expect temperatures ranging between 11 degrees Celsius in the depressions and 21 - 22 degrees Celsius in the Danube Valley, with 19 - 20 degrees Celsius in Bucharest. On Tuesday, temperatures will be ranging between 10 and 22 degrees Celsius, with 23 - 24 degrees Celsius in the Danube Valley and 21 - 22 degrees Celsius in Bucharest. Normally, in this period we should have maximums from zero to 6 degrees Celsius, with 5 degrees Celsius in Bucharest and minimums ranging from minus 9 degrees Celsius to plus one degree Celsius, and with minus 3 degrees Celsius in Bucharest," said the forecaster Maria Tomescu. 

"In 1995, on 27 February the absolute monthly records were reached, with 26 degrees Celsius in (Southeastern) Medgidia and 23 degrees Celsius in Bucharest," the ANM meteorologist concluded.AGERPRES
