The relics of the Three Holy Hierarchs will be placed for veneration on Thursday, from 16:00, at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
The revered relics are being brought from the historic Chapel of the "Saint Great Martyr George" of the Patriarchal Residence, basilica.ro informed.
The liturgical programme of the pilgrimage in the Capital will begin with the Vigil service, officiated by the clergy of the Patriarchal Cathedral, led by Archimandrite Clement Haralam.
On the feast of the Three Holy Hierarchs, Friday, 30 January, the Midnight Office will be celebrated, followed by the Akathist of the commemorated saints and the Divine Liturgy, officiated by Auxiliary Bishop Paisie of Sinaia.
The faithful will be able to venerate the revered relics until Friday evening, at 20:00.
The Three Holy Hierarchs, Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom, are considered the patrons of theological education, due to their contribution to the consolidation of Christian teaching.
