Around 10 institutions under the Ministry of Agriculture will undergo total reorganization, and more than 300 management positions will be abolished, which will bring savings to the state budget of almost 10 million euros, the minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, said Thursday, at the end of the government sitting.
He stated that after the reorganization more than 1,700 people will receive a higher salary, because their basic salary is lower compared to the existing one in other institutions.
"More than that, we are making public institutions more efficient and in the coming period the Ministry of Agriculture is launching many projects of the order of billions of euros. Naturally, we want Romanian farmers to stop being ping-ponged from one institution to another in order to access these European funds," said the minister of Agriculture.
"The institutions will not be dissolved, they will be merged: ADS (State Domains Agency ed. n), ANF (National Phytosanitary Authority), ANZ (National Agency for Animal Husbandry). There are many institutions, around 10 institutions, that will be included in the total reorganization of the Ministry of Agriculture," he added.
