President of the Romanian Senate Calin Popescu-Tariceanu and Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Florin Iordache will deliver speeches alongside other dignitaries already announced at the launching ceremony of Romania's Presidency of the Council of the European Union due on Thursday night at the Romanian Athenaeum.
According to a Romanian gov't's press release to AGERPRES, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila attends, as of 20:00 hrs, the opening ceremony of Romania's presidency to the European Union's Council and the inaugural concert dedicated to this rotating presidency takeover, all events taking place at downtown Athenaeum.
Apart from Premier Viorica Dancila and President Klaus Iohannis, the Senate's head, Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, Deputy Speaker Florin Iordache, speeches will also be delivered by the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.

The opening ceremony will also be attended by the members of the College of Commissioners.
