Romania's Ambassador to the United States, Andrei Muraru, met with Republican Congressman Mark Green, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, which also handles the Visa Waiver issue, and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives.
"We talked about the good cooperation that Romania and the United States have in areas such as combating cross-border threats, which reflects Romania's compliance with the criteria related to the Visa Waiver program," Muraru wrote on Facebook on Monday.
Congressman Mark Green knows Romania and the Romanian-American partnership well, both in the defense and homeland security fields, the ambassador added, calling the American politician "a true friend of Romania."
Mark Green, a Republican representing the state of Tennessee, visited Romania in 2022, after the start of Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine.
