The "Romanian-Polish Solidarity Day" will be marked, on Friday, February 21, and Wednesday, February 26, at the National Museum of History of Romania (MNIR), through free guided tours of the exhibition "Romania-Poland, a Century of History. Marshal Jozef Pilsudski and the Royal Family of Romania," a collaboration of Romanian and Polish museums, informs the MNIR on Tuesday.
The guided tours will be led by Cristina Paiusan, PhD, and Roxana Patrascu, curators of the exhibition.
On March 3, 1921, the "Defensive Alliance Convention between Romania and Poland" and the "Military Convention between Romania and Poland" were signed in Bucharest, strengthening the friendship and collaboration between the two countries. More than a century after this historic event, the Polish Sejm and the Romanian Parliament established the "Romanian-Polish Solidarity Day," which is celebrated annually on March 3.
This year, MNIR joins this anniversary and organizes two free guided tours of the exhibition "Romania-Poland, a century of history. Marshal Jozef Pilsudski and the Royal Family of Romania," an exhibition part of the Romania-Poland Cultural Season, which is open until March 10.
