Romania's industrial turnover total (domestic and non-domestic) advanced 26.6% in nominal terms in the first nine months of 2022 compared with the similar period of 2021, shows data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
According to INS, the increase was mainly due to the mining industry (+113.7%) and the manufacturing industry (+24.2%), told Agerpres.
By large industrial groups, turnover increases were recorded in: the energy industry (+112.2%), the intermediate goods industry (+25.4%), the consumer goods industry (+22.8%), the capital goods industry (+17.9%) and the durable goods industry (+11.2%).
According to INS, the September 2022 industrial turnover increased in nominal terms by 12.4% against August 2022 and by 29.8% against September 2021.
"The industry turnover increase in September 2022 against the previous month, in nominal terms, by 12.4%, due to the growth recorded in the manufacturing industry (+3.5%). The mining industry saw a drop by 12%," shows INS.
Moreover, the September 2022 industrial turnover also increased in nominal terms, y-o-y, by 29.8%, on increases in mining (+63.1%) and manufacturing (+28.8%).
By large industrial groups, increases were recorded in the energy industry (+96.6%), the capital goods industry (+41.0%), the consumer goods industry (+19.7%), the intermediate goods industry (+19.5%) and the durable goods industry (+9.4%).
