Romania's turnover in market services provided mainly to enterprises increased, on an unadjusted basis, by 1.1% in the first four months of this year, compared to the same period in 2024, according to data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (NSI).
At the end of April 2025, positive results were recorded in communication activities (+8%), other services supplied mainly to enterprises (+4.4%) and transportation activities (+1%).
On the other hand, decreases in turnover in market services provided to enterprises were reported in: motion picture, video and television program production, broadcasting and program transmission (-17.7%) and in computer and information technology services (-5.3%).
Turnover in the same category, as workday and seasonally adjusted series, increased overall by 0.6% in the period January 1 - April 30, 2025 compared to the first four months of the previous year.
According to the cited source, in April 2025 vs. April 2024, turnover in market services provided mainly to enterprises, on an unadjusted basis, decreased by 2%, as a result of the activities of motion picture, video and television program production; broadcasting and transmission of programs (-15.9%), transportation (-6.6%) and computer and information technology services (-6.4%).
In contrast, communications activities increased by 8.6%, while other services mainly provided to businesses rose by 1.2%.
At the same time, turnover from market services provided to businesses, as adjused series, fell by 1% in April this year compared with the similar month in 2024.
The INS data reveals that, from one month to the next (April - March 2025), the turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises, decreased overall, both as unadjusted series (-5%) and as workday and seasonally adjusted series (-1.5%).
