Romania already has six crews in the finals for the medals at the World Rowing Cup in Lucerne (Switzerland), after the races held on Friday, during the morning.
Thus, Adriana Ailincai and Iuliana Buhus won the second series in women's pair (07:30.96), and Nicoleta-Ancuta Bodnar and Simona Geanina Radis took first place in the first series in women's double sculls (07:00.13), agerpres.ro confirms.
In the women's four, a test race took place, all crews having ensured their presence in the final, including two representing Romania: Nicoleta Pascanu, Elena Logofatu, Cristina-Georgiana Popescu and Roxana-Iuliana Anghel finished in third place (06:36.55), and Beatrice-Madalina Pascari, Alina-Maria Baletchi, Madalina Heghes, Roxana Parascanu, in the 5th place (06:42.72).
Also Romania men's four (Mihaita-Vasile Tiganescu, Mugurel Vasile Semciuc, Stefan-Constantin Berariu, Cosmin Pascari) managed to reach the final, ranking second in their heat (06:00.05), at a short distance from South Africa (05:59.97).
In lightweight women's double sculls, Ionela-Livia Cozmiuc and Gianina-Elena Beleaga had a preliminary race, in which they ranked third (06:58.59), after France (06:58.02) and Great Britain (06:58.30).
In men's pair, Marius-Vasile Cozmiuc and Ciprian Tudosa finished second in the second heat (06:44.02), after Serbia (06:37.35), and will race in requalifications.
In the requalifications, Ioan Prundeanu and Marian-Florian Enache will also start in the men's double sculls, after finishing third in the third place (06:27.85), after the Netherlands 1 (06:22.51) and Switzerland 1 (06:25.84).
Romania had already qualified crews in all these events before the pre-Olympic regatta in Lucerne, in which the 8+1 women's and men's boats that do not participate in the Lucerne World Cup obtained their tickets.
